Emotional Distress Detecting Doggo Gets Taken To Work, Hilarity Ensues When The Dog Won't Stop Barking

Other than being little angels, dogs have some very important duties to attend to in their lives. Yes, most dogs are spoiled little doggos living in our homes, and their only job is to be themselves because being themselves is enough to bring endless joy. But other dogs go beyond that. Other dogs are pawfessionals. You have your classic sheep-herding dogs who do better jobs than most people, and you have your adorable police doggos who pawtect and serve, and you have amazing service doggos who are so sweet and kind and pawmazing. 

And you have emotional distress detecting doggos who are also doing amazing. So many people need them- need the reminder from their doggos to be able to center themselves and calm down. It's an impawtant job that these doggos are doing. And apparently, it's also a funny one. You may think your office is a calm place of work… and then you bring an anxiety detecting dog into it and… well.

    Honestly, we probably would have been in that office simply giggling all day long. Yes, it's sad when you think about it, that so many of us are sitting in our offices stressed out of our minds, but just… imagine that adorable dog. Just imagine that sweetheart walking around, concerned, trying to alert everyone to their own stress so they could calm down.

    Yup. Hilarious. And adorable. We definitely would have been sitting there, simultaneously taking pictures of the cute dog and trying to calm it down. Goodness, we hope its owners gave it a nice big snack when it came home that day. It was earned.

    Katya @DemonicNesquik Yeah it definitely can be! ... It's actually really cool how it works. Basically dogs are able to smell when our body's produce stress hormones. So you can pretty easily train them to recognize it and alert you when you produce it. Since every person smells different (in general and when they're stressed), some SDS/SDITS won't recognize the "stress smell” in anybody other than their handler. However others, like mine, can.
